Pete Lau doesn’t like following a typical business model. The OnePlus CEO announced via Google+ last week that their upcoming OnePlus One smartphone will be available for under $400. The device has just reached it’s first prototype stage, and details are being kept tight lipped about the device.
We do know that OnePlus & Cyanogen will be working in unison to build the first OnePlus device, with Oppo handling the hardware build portion. I’m really hoping this device makes it’s way across the pond to North America, as this could very well be a strong competitor to many of the sub-$400 smartphones currently available on the market with its stripped-down/non-bloatware Android build.
