Integrated into the unit are near field communications technology (NFC), dual GSM SIM card support, RFID, GPS and WLAN/WWAN/Bluetooth 4.0 wireless functions.

“For mPOS applications, the Gladius 5 will enable stores, restaurants and more to accept payments from consumers using the latest smartphones with NFC. Front line team members will also streamline their order taking and payment processes, whether on the floor, at a table, or virtually anywhere,” commented Brian Yurkiw, vice president at Arbor Solution. “Building on Arbor’s two decades of embedded systems design, the Gladius 5 can be easily customized to meet the different user, company and market requirements.”

Along with its Android OS, the Gladius 5 features an easy-to-view 5.5″ HD (1280 x 720) LCD with capacitive multi-touch panel and anti-reflection Corning® Gorilla® Glass.
