OnePlus One Will Be Powered By CyanogenMOD 11S

The OnePlus One is getting more hype than expected for a device that isn’t for a renowned smartphone manufacturer. The first smartphone from former Oppo CEO Pete Lau is set to be unveiled in just over two weeks, and is promising to be something that’ll be competitive to HTC & Samsung’s latest offerings.

Thanks to a  recent leak from Engadget, we now know what to likely expect for its lock screen. The OnePlus One will run a custom version of CyanogenMOD 11 called CM11S, with custom features like voice wakeup and some UI and camera tweaks that move the device beyond a mere custom ROM experience.

The OnePlus One will come with a 5.5 inch 1080 x 1920 resolution screen, a Snapdragon 801 processor, a 13MP camera featuring a Sony Exmor sensor (and an f/2.0 aperture), StyleSwap replaceable back covers, and a 3100mAh battery.

Will you patiently wait for the OnePlus One or will your cravings cause you to settle for a HTC One (M8) or Samsung Galaxy S5?
