It is not uncommon for Samsung to launch several variants of its flagship smartphones, and reportedly leaked documentation shows that the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini will be the next variant that’ll see the light of day.

Sporting model number SM-G800, the Galaxy S5 Mini will feature a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED display with 720p resolution, will run Android 4.4 KitKat, and will be powered by a Snapdragon processor – which will likely be a quad-core Snapdragon 400.

Other specs of the Galaxy S5 mini will include an 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB storage, an IR blaster, and a 2,100 mAh battery, most of which are eerie similar to the specs of the Galaxy S4 Mini. It is expected to be water-resistant through IP67 certification like the Galaxy S5, though heart rate and fingerprint sensor might be omitted, given the history of Samsung’s mini Galaxy lineup.

Pricing and release date remain a deep, dark secret but you can expect this device to arrive to market in June or July.
