Hands-On Video Of ZTE’s Open C: 4-inch Firefox OS 1.3 Device

ZTE Open C Firefox OS

Today via MWC 2014, Engadget got the first look at the ZTE’s Open C device at the Mozilla press event. The ZTE has a 4 inch screen and runs on the Firefox OS. Here are a few specs for the device. Keep in mind that the device has been built to cater to emerging markets:

– Color options: orange and blue
– 4-inch WVGA display
– Runs Firefox OS 1.3
– Dual-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200
– 512MB of RAM
– 2-megapixel fixed focus camera on back
– 1,200mAh battery

Overall, the Open C looks to be a pretty stable device. Firefox OS 1.3 looks to be performing well, and the UI seems to be pretty easy to maneuver around. Remember, these are devices meant for emerging markets, so don’t expect them to be offered in the USA anytime soon. However, ZTE has said that the Open C should launch by the end of Q2 this year with pricing TBA.
