Sony Mobile is expanding on their successful Xperia Z1 launch from 2013 by today announcing the Xperia Z1 Compact,  a sleek update to the Xperia Z1 family. Sony’s newest flagship device comes with a 2.2 GHz Qualcomm MSM8974 Quad Core processor, 1280×720 4.3 inch TRILUMINOS display and a 20.7 megapixel camera with Sony Exmor RS sensor.

Sony’s Battery STAMINA Mode will turn off unnecessary functions when they are not in use. The included 2300 mAh battery will give you close to 18 hours when STAMINA Mode is active.

Keeping true to previous Xperia Z1 devices, the Z1 Compact is a waterproof device with IP58 rating, giving you the opportunity to submerged your smartphone in 4.9 meters of water for up to 30 minutes. With the dedicated camera key, you can even use the device to shoot photos and videos underwater.
