New Samsung Smart TV Can Be Controlled By Finger Gestures

Samsung Smart TV

Samsung looks to bring on a better motion control experience with their new Samsung Smart TV for 2014. The new Smart TV will bring on both voice and motion control improvements.

Voice control improvements will allow users to change the channel in only one step by simply saying the channel number. The older 2013 models required a two steps in order to change the channel. The voice search feature is also more convenient to use, letting users find all content results in one place.

Most interesting will be the new motion control improvement, which has been improved by adding a “finger gesture” feature. This new finger gesture will allow users to change the TV channel, adjust volume, and find and select channels to watch just with the use of a single finger. Motioning counter-clockwise will allow the user to go back to the previous screen and stop the video.

The 2014 Samsung Smart TV models will be shown at Samsung booth #12004 in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center at CES 2014.
