The President of the United States, Donald Trump, was permanently suspended from Twitter on Jan 8th, 2021. In the wake of this tyrannical censorship on the President and many of his supporters, one would think that conservative influencers would take a stand and leave the platform in protest.
Sadly, this has not been the case…
In regards to influencers, there are very few conservatives that have voluntarily deactivated their Twitter accounts. Some have even faked leaving, while others are tweeting more than ever before. I could make a VERY LONG list of CONservatives who are still supporting Twitter and tweeting their little thumbs away. However, I’d rather focus on those who have taken it upon themselves to voluntarily deactivate (not just stop tweeting) their accounts, and leave Twitter indefinitely. These are your true patriots.

There you have it, folks! If you’ve ever wondered why the conservative movement is losing on censorship, this list explains it well. The lack of action from the conservative talking heads shows us how Netflix can partner with Obama, Target can allow transgenders into the girls restroom, yet their stock value continues to rise. Because, when it comes down to it, some of the loudest conservative voices are all talk and no action. It’s almost as though these influencers are a reflection of the ineffective elected representatives in the Republican Party.
However, they shouldn’t take all the blame. The average “conservative” follower also can’t be bothered by anything other than the pebble in their own shoe. How many of you have a conservative friend that announces they’ve cancelled Netflix every time the company does something contrary to their beliefs? You got it, they never cancelled in the first place. Then you see that same friend with a Starbucks coffee in one hand, and Target shopping bags in the other. Need I say more?
Why are big names like Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, and Glenn Beck still on Twitter?! Because they have fame, they get a pass? And everyone else must fall on their sword? Leaders are first into battle… the first to take a stand.
What can be done?
First, deactivate your Twitter account, if you haven’t already. Just do it, now!
Social media platforms like Twitter stay in business based on the amount of users that can be marketed toward. If the users count and activity goes down, so does advertiser revenue. Analytics show that Twitter’s subscriber base has been pretty stagnant over the last 5 years. A mass exodus of conservatives would be the death blow to the platform. With alt-platforms available (SayScape, Parler, Gab, ect), there is no excuse.
If you are one of those conservatives that has already deactivated your account, good on you! It looks like it’s up to the grassroots patriots to call out those who are still supporting Twitter, and reign them in on their hypocrisy.
