Mysterious Windows Phone Announcement Teased By Nokia

MysteriousNokia

Nokia is seriously trying to stump me lately. Today, they posted a rather mysterious Windows Phone teaser on their YouTube. In the video, they asked “Have you heard what’s coming?” After some car engine sounds for a few seconds, they present you with their second comment: “See and hear what you’ve been missing,” before filling your screen with both a Nokia and Windows Phone logos. Nothing else is shown, and it’s very unclear what exactly Nokia plans to announce. However, as this video is found on the Nokia US YouTube account, you can almost be certain this is NOT an international announcement.

If I had to make an educated guess that what this announcement might be, I’d be leaning towards Nokia getting ready for its upcoming Lumia Icon device for Verizon. Nokia and Verizon have yet acknowledged its existence, even though the device has leaked online in many different formats over the last few months. Nokia’s Lumia Icon is a smaller version of the giant 6-inch Lumia 1520. As far as device specs go, we know that the 5 inch smartphone will come equipped with a 2.2GHz quad-core processor, 2420 mAh battery, and 20 megapixel camera.

Do you think Nokia is announcing the Lumia Icon or have they got something yet to be unveiled under their sleeves?
