Burst Photo App Maker SnappyLabs Acquired By Apple

Those finicky nuances with Apple’s native camera app may be a thing of the past, with the recent acquisition of burst photo app maker SnappyLabs.

In a recent statement to Re/Code, Apple confirmed their recent purchase of the  developer of the popular iOS app SnappyCam. The Apple spokesperson declined to be more specific and said that, “Apple buys smaller technology companies from time to time, and we generally do not discuss our purpose or plans.”

In typical Apple buyout fashion, the SnappyCam app is no longer able to be found in iTunes Store. If you browse to SnappyLabs website, you’ll be welcome with a homepage that has been taken down.

It will be interesting to see how Apple integrates SnappyLabs technology into their software, but don’t hold your hopes of seeing SnappyCam-esque features making an appearance in iOS 7.1 anytime soon.
