Wifi-Only iPad & iPod Touch Now With BBM

BBM for iPad

BlackBerry has already released BBM for iOS phones running OS 6 or higher, and due to popular demand they have gone ahead and released the messaging app for iPad and iPod Touch. Originally BlackBerry was timid about releasing BBM on Wifi-only devices as they cited they want their users to be “connected” all the time. And a Wifi device is limited when on-the-go.

The big question now is, how much will this boost the messaging app user base on the iOS platform? No doubt that BBM will need to draw in many more users to compete with the top dog, WhatsApp.

If you can’t find BBM in the App Store, you can go to BBM.com on Safari and you’ll be directed to the app.
